Understanding Your Seasons

Updated: Jul 26

Isn't it just amazing? We've entered the first month of winter, and today is another splendid sunny day, without a single cloud in the sky! It's the perfect time to collect my thoughts, reflect on my journey, and feel grounded recognising how far I've come and confidently looking forward to where I'm headed.

I'm reminded of a scripture from the wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon:

"Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, 'I find no pleasure in them'" (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

God's incredible nature is truly evident in the way He orchestrates the changing seasons, mirroring the transitions we experience in our own lives. Just as plants and vegetation withstand the elements, influencing their development and productivity, we too face a myriad of seasons—some filled with abundance and joy, others filled with difficulty and trials. Reflecting on the journey, it becomes apparent that each season has its unique set of blessings and challenges, shaping us into who we are today. I have journeyed through numerous obstacles, always hopeful for a positive outcome. Instead of dwelling on past hardships, I chose to channel my energy towards self-improvement and furthering my education to advance in my career. These pursuits proved to be fruitful, and I am grateful for God's unwavering grace that guided me through it all. It is through His grace that I found strength and resilience to overcome adversities. Without His divine intervention, I ponder where I would be today. Thus, my heart is filled with gratitude, and I will forever sing praises to Him for leading me through the storms of life and into the light of hope and renewal.

Now, in a new season, there are new trials and tests. But God is faithful; He has brought us this far by His grace; and expects us to confront these challenges as they arise. Consider what the Scriptures say,

"Through the Lord's mercies, we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him!" (Lamentations 3:22-24 NLT).

In closing, I pray this post has encouraged you. If so, please consider leaving a comment.
