God Can Use You

Updated: Aug 10

During times of discouragement, we can experience significant personal growth."

There was a time when I would have doubted the idea that God could use me. However, looking back, I now see that the areas where I struggled in my Christian walk were the ones where I had not invited Jesus in. These were the very areas that revealed to me the depth of my need for Jesus. Despite facing disappointment and discouragement, I persevered through those valleys time and time again. God was well aware of all my faults and weaknesses. I am grateful for His redeeming love, as He accompanies us through our struggles and also heals our brokenness and leads us back to Him.

God’s Word says His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. I love how the Amplified bible says it,
“…My grace is sufficient for you [My loving kindness and my mercy are more than enough] - always available regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and shows itself more effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast on my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me” (2 Corinthians 12:9) AMP Bible.
God works through weak and imperfect people. His presence is with us in our times of struggle as we surrender those areas of weakness to Him. The Scriptures encourage us, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9, NIV).

God knows the end from the beginning. God doesn’t just see only where we are right now. He sees what you can become and 'His plans for us are plans for good and not for disaster, to give us a future with hope' (Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore, let us "praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins" (Ephesians 1:6-7).

God has blessed us with 'wisdom and understanding' to endure in difficult times.

Be encouraged.
